Langholm Archive Centre

At present the Group is involved in cataloguing the local newspaper, the "Eskdale and Liddesdale Advertiser" - its first issue was in 1848, and members meet to index regularly in the Centre's premises. In eighteen months, the 15000+-entry index is up to 1866. When completed, this will be a valuable, searchable resource. Now, with our own premises, progress is proceeding much quicker.
